Learning is important because one good thing is no one can take it away from you.
I have kids and I always stress teh importance of learning instead of getting good grades. What I tell them is that they should learn not so they can become "special" or so that they will get good grades. Theys hould learn because that will help them make better decisions and live better lives.
As for learning languages, we stress "language advantage" so my ten year-old is now starting to learn Spanish.

Indeed. Most people have a preferred way to learn. Some learn best by listening, some have to watch movies (with or without subtitles), while others choose to hire teachers to learn.
do the right thing even when nobody is watching
Learning is important because it helps us to grow.
Without learning, you become stagnant. And it goes with everything from learning a language, a skill, an academic subject, to learning from our experiences and mistakes.
Everyday is a learning journey. Keep going!
Learning is making us grow as people and it helps the human kind evolve
I want to agree with everyone who expressed their opinion. I think to learn, develop skills, learn something new, no doubt is beneficial. Experience, good or bad, is helpful. What will happen to a person who stops learning new things? Is this person interesting as a person, as an interlocutor? I think no. I am for developing your brain, and not degrading in the taiga)
