This is the second of two lessons on comparatives.
Seems like
Ex: Mukhang matalino ang babae.
Show
= The woman seems intelligent.
Show
A seems adjective is formed as <mukhang, adjective, A> where A takes ang-form.
Looks like
Ex: Kamukha ni Fred si Joe.

= Joe looks like Fred.
Show
A looks like B is formed as <kamukha, B, A> where B takes ng-form and A takes ang-form.
More than
Ex: Mas/higit na/lalong mainit ang bahay mo kaysa sa bahay ko.

= Your house is hotter than mine.

A is more adjective than B is formed as <mas/higit na/lalong, A, kaysa, B>, where A takes ang-form and B takes sa-form.
Very
Ex: Napakabilis ang eroplano.

Note About All of These Comparitives
They can be negated with hindi, e.g. Hindi mukhang matalino ang babae. = The woman doesn’t seem intelligent.
In these cases, hindi is the enclitic magnate.
