There's this old lady down my street who takes care of many cats. Really. There are a lot of of them. Around 80. And I'm sure she can't afford it, because the house is a wreck. When the animals get sick she treats them with herbs, and she also counts on the Lord, as she has already mentioned.
I've been trying to gain her trust in order to take this Toco to the vet. He has some ear issue. Every time I meet her I tell that I'm there for help.
Yesterday she came to my door because she was out of cat food. I promised to buy some on my way to my mother's.
I went to my mother's yesterday because her dog was not well. We took Juma to the vet only to confirm that she has cancer. My mother got miserable.
At the vet's waiting room there was this young lady who aproached. 'I've just lost my daschhund, and your dog looks very much like her'. Her dog also had cancer, and she tried many therapies, but chimmo. One of them was this special nutrition program which she offered to give us. She also offered to help in case there's some emergency, when I mentioned that I live very far away from my mother.
My mother is an old lady, just like my neighbor. She lives on her own, just like my neighbor.
Returning home, I stopped by to deliver the food I had bought. And I was envited in.
